Since the Makarska Riviera is located at the intersection of sea and land routes, during the tourist season offers you a multitude of interesting excursions; touristic ships to islands (Brac, Hvar, Korcula), buses to nearby towns such as Dubrovnik, Mostar, Split and Medjugorje. Also, there are excursions to nearby natural wonders, such as the Plitvice Lakes, mountain slope, Krka, and for lovers of adventure canoeing or rafting on the river Cetina.
Split – Trogir
Split is the largest city in Dalmatia and the second largest in Croatia. The tour includes Split old town, Diocletian’s Palace, which was built in the 3rd century, and contains many historical sights such as the Peristyle, the Cathedral (Mausoleum of Emperor Diocletian), and Gold and Silver Gate.
As part of the trip to the city of Split, offers and visit Trogir, which is rich in cultural and historical monuments. Trogir is considered the best preserved Romanesque-Gothic town in central Europe. The core of the city consists of a castle and a tower surrounded by walls.
Mostar
Mostar is one of the most beautiful towns in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Located on the banks of the Neretva River, and is the largest city in Herzegovina. It was named after bridge (bridge keepers). In Mostar there is a famous Old Bridge which like the Old Town is on the list of protected cultural heritage by UNESCO. Medjugorje
One of the most famous Catholic shrines, which annually visits the millions of visitors, and is located in the neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina. After the Mass, visitors can climb to the Apparition Hill where the Virgin Mary first appeared to his visionaries.
Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is one of the most historic Croatian tourist resorts, and is also on the UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage. The ancient city, rich in cultural heritage. Biokovo mountain

Plitvice Lakes
The largest, oldest and most visited Croatian national park. Forested mountains in which there are 16 lakes of various sizes. Plitvice abound numerous streams, brooks and beautiful waterfalls. The rich flora and fauna, forest trails, wooden bridges, clear mountain air and vast areas of forest are part of a whole which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the first in the world.
Krka
Krka National Park is known for its many lakes and waterfalls. Park covers the area along the river Krka which springs at the foot of the mountain Dinara. Like all national parks, and Krka is rich in plant and animal species. In the middle of the lake Visovac, there is the islet of about Friars care, such as the preservation of culture of these spaces and numerous historical remains, and the cultivation of crops.
Boat trips – fish picnic
During the season, on the Makarska waterfront daily can go on a one-day cruise. It usually starts in the morning and lasts all day. The price of the trip includes lunch on board. The town of Korcula and Mljet
